KYK9 Speaking to Archaeologists and Engineers

Purdue Road School

K9 Pocket and Jennifer Jordan Hall took a girls trip and presented a paper at the Purdue Road School with Andrea Crider of the ASC Group. The subject: Pocket's finding 1,000 year-old human remains!

Ohio Transportation Engineers Conference

KYK9 continues to present their findings to professionals in the transportation and engineering sector at OTEC. Our contribution to the recovery of archaeological human remains as it relates to an intersection improvement project helps shape the management of future transportation proposals, giving our partners a unique advantage in the location of human remains where traditional remote sensing falls short.

Kentucky Heritage Council

The 39th Annual Kentucky Heritage Council Archaeological Conference was March 5, 2022, and KYK9 had the opportunity to present before CRM professionals and archaeologists from all over the Midwest. Dr. Kevin Schwarz and Andrea Crider, with the ASC Group, along with Jennifer Jordan Hall, Dr. Cheryl Johnston, and Taylor Bryan, presented their paper on "Using Human Remains Detection Dogs as an Emerging Method to Find Unmarked Prehistoric and Historic Burials"

Ohio Archaeological Council

April 2022, KYK9 is very excited to continue to share our research at the Ohio Archaeological Council’s Annual Spring Meeting. The meeting will be held on Friday, April 29 from 9-3 at the Columbus Metropolitan Library Main Branch, 96 S. Grant Ave. and will also be streaming live!
