K9 Remy 2005 - 2020

We lost K9 Remy this February at age 15 after a short battle with cancer. We were heartbroken, especially K9 Scout. Scout and Remy were only 10 months apart and together were an incredible team. Remy taught us all so much and is with us on every search.

Remy’s skill in searching was often unorthodox, as she was a problem solver. You could see her thinking, gazing intently before trotting off after taking scent. She took the shortest route, not the expected route, and took childlike joy in startling volunteers who would be expecting her to come from a different direction.

Remy loved working and helped so many families. Her legacy remains and we miss her dearly.
